1. What is the differene between your product and those flexible wraps?

Those flexible wraps are the kind of material your refridgerator magnets are made out of. You can buy those wrappable magnets at your local hardware store for $2. We have four, high power, CERAMIC magnets in each of our units.

Although companies offering magnetic wraps for your pipes might claim high power magnets that are of 2,500 gauss, they are talking about high power at the surface of the water pipe.

Ceramic magents provide deep penetrating, high power, that can be measured unlike magnetic wraps. Our products are able to provide over 1,000 guass at the CENTER OF YOUR PIPE.

2. I have a 1,500sq. ft. house. What model and how many units do I need?

A minimum of one unit of SW25 is required to be put on the incoming water line after the water meter for a home of about 1500 sq. ft. For homes which are bigger we recommend that 2 units would work better. If your water hardness exceeds 10 grains of hardness you will be better off with two units of SW25.

We also recommend one more booster unit to be put on the hot water line coming out of the water heater (if you have a storage water type) since water normally looses it conditioning with overnight storage.This is our Model No. SW15.

3. Has any official research been done? Where can I read about it?

Yes. The Department of Energy published a "Federal Technology Alert" on ceramic magnetic water conditioners. The report is available in both HTML and Adobe Acrobat formats.

Before buying, it is important to determine the diameter of the pipe carrying the water.

Our units are clamp on type that fit on the outside of the water pipe.

If your water pipe is say 25.0 mm / 1.0 inch diameter and hardness of the water is 150 ppm then you will require to use our model SW25. For much higer hardness you might have to use two or more units in tandem.
